Project Details:

Teachers in public elementary schools struggle to teach science consistently while also keeping students engaged, monitoring their progress, and relating content to their lives. Elementary education needs programs with engaging learning experiences, such as simulations, inquiry, and problem solving. Teachers are also in need of support and confidence in their science teaching.

To make this program a reality, we will need two SMEs in NGSS and elementary science strategies as well as three curriculum designers. These can be salaried or contract based. We also need access to video, audio, simulation and AI software, which will cost $500-1,000 per program.

Type: Business Plan

Audience: Various stakeholders: School districts, company leadership

Process: This business plan was developed throughout a seven week graduate course. The business plan includes the company mission and how the program aligns with this mission. There is a stakeholder review and environmental scan of internal and external factors that should be addressed. A comprehensive marketing strategy and goals for the program are discussed, as well as recommendations moving forward to make the program a success.
